Empowerment and Resource Center
The PCEA Gathanji Parish "InuaSasa" Initiative (swahili for Uplift Now) is an empowerment and resource center that serves to encourage the Presbyterian spirit of Jitegemea - movement towards self reliance.
InuaSasa is as a church-based community project whose aim is to promote the overall well-being of its parishioners. With a focus on empowerment, the resource center provides a space for individuals, especially the youth to access training, mentorship, business incubation and personal development initiatives, while embracing Christian values & virtues in all the engagements
What we do
The InuaSasa center, was established to offer a range of initiatives to meet the diverse needs of our community especially women and youth members. At the center, we provide the following services in partnership with the Parish office, Kirk Session, Church leadership & Groups
Skills Training
We provide various skill development programs to empower individuals with the knowledge and expertise required for personal and professional growth.
Mentorship Programs
Our mentorship initiatives aim to guide and support individuals in their personal and professional endeavors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Business Incubation
For aspiring entrepreneurs, we offer resources and support to nurture innovative business ideas, helping turn them into successful ventures.
Legal Advice
In partnership with the local community leaders, the center provides guidance and counseling on various legal matters, ensuring that our community members are well-informed and protected.
Personal Development
We believe in holistic growth and offer programs focused on personal development, including emotional and mental well-being.
Community Support
Our center provides a supportive community network, fostering collaboration and solidarity among our parishioners.
